Search for 2026 Westmeath Rose of Tralee underway
The Westmeath Rose Centre is calling on young women from throughout the county to become a part of the Rose of Tralee experience.
Westmeath Rose Centre Co-Ordinator Lyn Moloney, said the search is underway to choose this year's county representative for the International Rose of Tralee Festival which take places place in August.
"We at the Westmeath Rose Centre are inviting all interested girls between 18 and 29 years old to enter to sample the fantastic experience and journey that awaits you should you decide to go forward for the Westmeath Rose 2026.
"We would also like to invite GAA, camogie clubs, societies, groups and businesses to nominate a representative from their respective communities to take part in one of Westmeath’s annual flagship events," Lyn said.
The Westmeath Rose selection will take place in the Radisson Hotel Athlone on Saturday, June 13.
The 2025 Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins, recently teamed up with some Westmeath hopefuls to launch the search for her successor who will be chosen in the Festival Dome on Tuesday, August 18.
She is encouraging young women from Westmeath to "go for it and apply".
"The Rose of Tralee international Festival has truly been the most incredible experience of my life, and I hope to encourage as many young women as possible to take part and become their local 'Rose'.
"I guarantee them they will make incredible friends and have an amazing experience. I’m thoroughly enjoying my year as the Rose of Tralee so far and am really excited for what’s to come," Katelyn stated.
