Roscommon name team for Connacht U20 final
Roscommon manager Cian Smith has named his team to play Mayo in the Connacht Under 20 football championship final on Wednesday evening at 7pm.
There are three representatives from South Roscommon clubs listed to start the provincial showpiece fixture taking place in Tuam Stadium
Diarmuid Higgins of Clann na nGael is named to start in the full back line, Padraig Pearses' Keelan Kelly is named to start at right half back, while St Brigid's club player Charlie O'Carroll will start in the full forward.
Roscommon will hope to reverse the the result of the county's round robin meeting in April when Mayo won a tightly contested game by four points.
Roscommon are certain to be buoyed by there one point win over Galway in the provincial semi-final as they go in search of a Connacht title they last won in 2024.
The two teams met in last year's provincial decider when Mayo claimed the JJ Fahy Cup by three points.
