St Brigid's Community Choir make charitable cheque presentations
Three community organisations have received presentation cheques from St Brigid's Community Choir, the proceeds of recent fundraising initiatives by the Kiltoom based group.
Athlone Sub-Aqua Club, Kiltoom Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Group Ltd and Cam Defibrillator Group each received €1,000 towards in respect of the service which each organisation provides in the community.
Choir member Tommy Healy said the group promotes the value of community and fosters a keen sense of belonging and shared ambition.
Members have described their individual experience of the choir as being ‘inspirational’, ‘uplifting’ and ‘socially gratifying’.
Established in 2013, St Brigid's Community Choir currently has a membership of approximately 45 people.
