Westmeath team named for Leinster quarter-final tie
Westmeath minor football manager Mick Dillon has named his team for this evening's Leinster championship quarter-final against Kildare in TEG Cusack Park Mullingar at 6.30pm.
Their are three changes to the starting team which defeated Carlow in the provincial preliminary quarter-final with Cian McKeogh, Conor Cleary and intercounty dual player Dean Kelly deputising for Rhys Brady, Aaron Claffey and Hugo Corroon.
Following impressive wins over Longford and Dublin in the round robin phase of the provincial championship Westmeath were defeated by Offaly in their closing Round 2 fixture.
However, the Lake County's Leinster minor title aspirations remain intact following a comeback win over Carlow in Tubberclair last week.
Trailing by seven points at one stage of the contest, Westmeath rallied to earn a hard fought two point win.
Kildare won their opening two provincial Group 1 fixtures against Laois and Meath before tasting defeat to Louth in their final round robin phase fixture.
