At an event to be held this evening (Thursday, May 7, 6pm), 'Africa Day' will be celebrated at Áras an Chontae to celebrate and enjoy Africa's music, authentic African food, dance and inspiring speakers in an evening of culture and community. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. The occasion is supported by Roscommon County Council.
This evening's event will include traditional Irish and African dancers and a segment called 'Our Stories' presented by panelists Dorothy Eshiwani-Ali, Mary Thebe and Sive Bresnihan.
