Roscommon team confirmed for Connacht minor football final
Roscommon minor football manager Shane Moran has named his team for this evening's (Friday) Connacht championship final against Galway in Tuam Stadium at 7pm.
Roscommon will hope to complete the second part of a potential Connacht championship treble following the recent provincial success of the county's U20 team.
The reigning Connacht minor champions remain undefeated in this year's campaign with consecutive wins over Sligo, Galway, Mayo and Leitrim in the provincial round robin series.
They defeated their final opponents by five points in their second championship outing and will be hoping that the confidence gained from their unbeaten run will prove beneficial in Tuam Stadium when the game throws in.
Players from South Roscommon clubs feature prominently in the starting team for the Connacht final.
Clann na nGael's Zac Mullally has been named as goalkeeper and his club colleague Bobby Lenehan will start on the half forward line.
Full back Tadgh Fallon from St Brigid's captains the team with fellow club player Joshua Coyne listed to start in the full forward line.
Meanwhile, Padraig Pearses also have two players named to start with both Jack Brooks and Enda Browne forming two-thirds of the half back line.
St Dominic's Colm Fitzgerald will occupy a corner back berth, while Jayden Concannon of St Aidan's is listed to start at full forward.
