Athlone paramedic retires after 44 year career
Athlone ambulance worker Paschal Nally retired from the National Ambulance Service (NAS), after 44 years of serving the people of Athlone and surrounding areas.
Paschal’s retirement party took place last Friday night (May 22) at the Bounty Bar Athlone.
He served 22 years with the HSE, four years with St. Mary’s in Delvin, and 18 years with the National Ambulance Service (NAS).
He worked the majority of his career in Mullingar before transferring to Athlone.
"Anyone who knew Paschal always went away with a smile on their face. He had a great way with patients especially the elderly," said Darren Mulledy, paramedic.
"A day working with Paschal on the ambulance was always enjoyable. I wish you many years of good health to enjoy your retirement with your family Paschal."
