Gardai investigating arson attack on car at Athlone Regional Sports Centre

Gardaí in Athlone are continuing to investigate a suspected arson incident on the grounds of the Athlone Regional Sports Centre on Thursday morning.

A garda spokesperson confirmed officers attended the scene following a report of criminal damage by fire near the premises in the early hours of June 4.

Gardai confirmed that a car located on the grounds of Athlone Regional Sports Centre was the subject of the alleged arson incident.

No injuries were reported and investigations are ongoing.
