Athlone Marina public toilet works expected to begin by year end

Works on the public toilets at Athlone Marina are expected to commence before the end of the year, according to Westmeath County Council.

The update was provided in response to a question from Cllr Aengus O'Rourke, who sought clarification on whether work on the facility had begun and, if not, when the toilets would be completed and reopened for public use.

In reponse, the council stated that consultants are currently being procured to advance the detailed design phase of the project.

"Consultants are currently being procured to advance the detailed design, following which the refurbishment works will proceed," the council said.

It added that the refurbishment works are anticipated to commence by the end of the year.
