Water supply disruptions in Athlone due to burst water main

Water supply disruptions are expected in parts of Athlone today as crews carry out repairs to a burst water main.

Areas that may be affected include Athlone town, Bonnavalley, Killion Hill, Dublin Road, Fardrum, Garrycastle, Ardnaglug, Blyry and surrounding locations.

Repair works are scheduled to take place until 1pm on Tuesday, 23 June.

Residents and businesses in affected areas may experience interruptions to their water supply during this period.

Customers are advised that it may take between three and four hours after repairs are completed for normal water service to be fully restored.
