Athlone artist Teggy announced for Electric Picnic's 'Treasure Beach'
Athlone hip-hop artist Cian Teague, known as Teggy, is set to perform at the 2026 Electric Picnic.
The local performer will take the stage at the annual music gathering in Stradbally from Friday, August 28, to Sunday, August 30.
This will be Teggy's fourth time to hit the festival, having previously performed on the Trenchtown stage in both 2022, 2024, and 2025.
He is scheduled to hit the Treasure Beach stage, which is the festival's new tropical beach destination in the woods
The new night time set is described as "a life size beach in the woods" and promises to bring "the heat, rhythm and irie vibes".
Cian Teague was based in England before moving to Athlone some years ago.
Speaking about now he got into music, he said: "I got involved in music because my best friend in England, Chunk, always rapped.
"I looked up to him and wanted to rap as well, but I never had the confidence. When I moved to Ireland I decided to give it a shot, and I haven't looked back since."
