Athlone Boat Club member competing at U19 World Rowing Championships

Athlone Boat Club member Darragh Collins will compete for Ireland at the World U19 Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, this afternoon (Thursday).

Collins was selected for inclusion as the bow rower in the men's four team who will start their competition at 12.21pm (Irish time) today.

Collins is joined in the boat by Cork based rowers, Conal Gillard (Lee RC), Henrikas Janisionis (Lee RC) and Emmett Villing (Neptune RC)

The first of three heats in the men's four competition, Ireland face opposition from Great Britain, Moldova, Turkey, Italy and China for a place in the semi-final of the competition.
