Athlone decorator nominated for prestigious business award

Athlone painting contractor Aaron Joyce has been nominated for at the 2026 Golden Finish Awards.

The AJ Painting Ltd owner has been selected as a finalist in the 'Irish Decorator of the Year' category at the awards ceremony which take place at the MK Stadium, Milton Keynes, on October 24.

The awards celebrate excellence in the painting and decorating trade and speaking following his finalist selection Aaron said he was "delighted" and "incredibly proud" to be nominated for the award.

Having worked in the painting and decorating industry from an early age "footing ladders for my father", Aaron now has his own business which he said has "grown from a sole-trader business into a larger team".

"This recognition belongs to the entire team, whose hard work and commitment have helped us reach this stage," Aaron said.

Aaron thanked all his clients, suppliers, manufacturers, educators and fellow decorators for their "continued trust, knowledge and support".
