Dovida to create 60 home care jobs in the Midlands

Expanding their base in the Midlands, home care provider Dovida has launched a new recruitment campaign. The company is creating 60 new caregiver roles across the Midlands to help support people to live independently at home and stay connected to their family, friends, and communities.

The new roles will be a mix of flexible and fixed-hour positions, with full-time hours also available for those who would like them. Many caregivers choose their own hours around what best suits their lifestyle, especially those with school going children.

“In our experience, a lot of people really like the flexibility the job offers,” Lorraine McLaughlin, General Manager of Dovida Midlands, said. “These roles are particularly popular with people whose children are returning to school or starting school for the first time and those who have other commitments such as studying,” she added.

The 20-year-old company has more than 4,000 skilled caregivers to provide a wide range of home care and support services. But the organisation's focus is on a person-centred approach, with caregivers building meaningful connections with their clients and empower them to live fuller, more independent lives.

Susan Corkery, a Dovida caregiver for almost 20 years, advised anyone considering a career in caregiving to go for it. “I loved it from the word go. The friendships you make and the relationships you build with clients are incredible. There's nothing like it,” she added.

For Emma McGrath, Dovida’s Caregiver of the Year 2026, being a caregiver is a very rewarding experience. “Every day is different, and I absolutely love being a caregiver. The first day I started, I just knew it was for me. We look after the most vulnerable people in our community, and some days I’m the only person that they have, so it means the world to me to be able to bring some joy and connection to their lives,” she said.
