National Cinema Weekend comes to Athlone this weekend

Athlone cinephiles can enjoy cheaper tickets this Saturday and Sunday, as National Cinema Weekend brings ticket down to just €4.

National Cinema Weekend is a two-day celebration of the movies, letting everyone enjoy the thrill of the big screen for less.

Taking place this year between Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, it’s a deal-packed day when reduced-price cinema tickets are available to all films and screenings.

Films screening across the weekend include: Bad Apples, Coyote vs Acme, Insidious: Out Of The Further, Minions & Monsters, One Night Only, Paw Patrol 3 The Dino Movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (40th Anniversary), The Death Of Robin Hood, and The Incomer.

Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland is the official supporter of National Cinema Weekend 2026.
