New season to get underway at Midlands Photography Club

Midlands Photography Club will host its 2026/2027 registration night on Wednesday, September 9, at 7.30pm

The club meets every second Wednesday from September to May at 7.30pm.

Midlands Photography Club is affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) Club. Activities include guest speakers, practical demonstrations and portrait shoots.

Members can also enjoy in-house competitions, photo walks and the chance to represent the club in external competitions such as the IPF National Shield.

The club has an in-house printing facility which allows members to experience the complete photographic journey, from capturing the image, to processing to high quality prints ready to display.

Midlands Photography Club was established in 2007 by a group of enthusiastic photographers who wanted to share their interest in photography with other similar-minded people. Over the years the club has grown from strength to strength attracting members not only from the Athlone area but from the counties of Galway, Roscommon, Offaly and Longford.

The club has been successful in national competitions, with several members achieving distinctions with the IPF.

Annual membership is €90 which includes access to all club activities.
