McGann named to start Ireland's second Global Series outing
Athlone's Anna McGann has been named as one of six changes to the Ireland women's rugby team for Sunday’s Vodafone Ireland WXV Series game against Japan at the Dexcom Stadium Galway at 12.45pm.
The Moydrum native starts in the centre and she is joined in the backline by Ballinasloe's Beibhinn Parsons.
Aoibheann O'Reilly from Creagh, will fill the scrum-half role for Scott Bemand's charges in their second outing of the competition.
Meanwhile, Roscommon player Jemima Adams Verling will earn her second cap in the forwards as Ireland aim to a swift return to winning ways following an opening fixture loss to the USA.
