Gerry Guthrie to take to Tuar Ard stage
Award-winning country singer Gerry Guthrie brings his 2026 concert tour to the Tuar Ard Centre in Moate on Saturday, October 24, joined by his full live band and special guests Dave Lawlor and Carmel McLoughlin.
The Ballina native has become a familiar face to country music audiences throughout Ireland, earning numerous awards during his career. Known for his distinctive voice, accomplished guitar playing and easy rapport with an audience, Gerry has built a loyal following through years of live performances.
His full live band will join him on stage in Moate, bringing the country sound that fans know and love. The concert setting offers a chance to sit back and enjoy the songs, the musicianship and the stories behind the music.
One part of the show that is proving particularly popular is an acoustic set, when Gerry remains on stage with just his guitar and takes requests from the audience. This relaxed section gives fans a chance to ask for their own favourites and makes each evening a little different. It is a personal touch that audiences have been warmly embracing throughout the tour.
Gerry’s special guests Dave Lawlor and Carmel McLoughlin will also take to the stage, adding their own voices and personalities to an evening with plenty for music fans to enjoy.
The concert comes during a busy autumn for Gerry, following the release of his new album, The Monday Club. Featuring 12 brand-new recordings, the collection includes “Everybody Wants To Be 21”, a duet with TR Dallas, and “The Fireman”, on which he teams up with Ray Murtagh.
The title track sits alongside songs such as “As We Danced To An Old Fashioned Tune”, “Swimming Upstream” and “I Can’t Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)”. Together, they reflect Gerry’s love of country music, from lively numbers to songs with a story and quieter, more reflective moments.
