The eighth year of the St Patrick’s Day Big Breakfast at St Malachy’s GAA in Castletown Geoghegan attracted what is now its customary large crowd, this year.
Sinéad Kiernan, club secretary, speaking on the day, said: “It’s a busy morning here, the whole community are out to support the club.
“There are a few special thank-yous we have for the sponsors who made today possible, including Pita Pit in Mullingar, Gerard Dalton in Castletown here with his Groovy Grub company and David Smyth Catering – also Jim Dalton, Moate Meats/Gillivan's Butchers, Moate, for their cooperation and their generosity with organising this for this morning.”
Sinéad extended the gratitude of the club to “the whole community at large coming out to support us”.
“It’s such a great morning and people look forward to it every year. It’s a great fundraiser for the club and we’re very grateful to everyone for their help and support to get this over the line.
“We hope everybody has a happy St Patrick’s Day and here’s to next year,” she concluded.
