Local woman wins Curragh style event
Ferbane woman Anna Marie Conroy, who works with Vero Moda in Athlone, was crowned the winner of the Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Awards at the Curragh yesterday (Saturday).
This was Anna Marie's first ever style award win and she was delighted with the success. She attended the races with her husband Kieran Conroy.
Anna Marie was wearing a vintage Karen Millen suit that was in her wardrobe for the last 15 years, shoes from Dune, hat by Alison Roe Roscrea, vintage blouse and bag are borrowed from her mum Marie, and a necklace is borrowed from her mother-in-law Margaret. Anna Marie is pictured alongside judges and fashion icons Arthur Gourounlian and Brian Dowling.
With this year’s theme “Shine in Blue,” racegoers lit up the course in bold and breathtaking shades of blue, competing for a glittering prize including a luxury stay at Barberstown Castle and a sapphire worth €5,000. The Curragh Racecourse continues to blend world-class racing with fearless fashion and unforgettable entertainment. For more see curragh.ie.
