Athlone man among winners in All Ireland Quality Potato event at Tullamore Show

Athlone man Kevin Ward has placed in the top three at the Bord Bia All Ireland Quality Potato competition which took place at Tullamore Show yesterday (Sunday).

The competition was presented by The Irish Shows Association and the Tullamore Show Society. Kevin placed 3rd in the Bord Bia All Ireland Quality Potato Championship 2025.

Leitrim's Patrick Hiney placed 1st in the competition with his rooster potatoes, with the 2nd place prize going to a Kerry native.

In total, there were 28 participants in the Bord Bia All Ireland Quality Potato Championship 2025.
