Nathan Carter will be performing in the marquee at JJ Killeen's, Shannonbridge, on Saturday, August 23.

Nathan Carter set for first Shannonbridge marquee performance

Country music star Nathan Carter is set to perform in Shannonbridge for the first time as part of a two-night "big summer blow-out" in the marquee at JJ Killeen's this month.

Nathan will be headlining on Saturday, August 23, with support from Cliona Hogan and local singer Olivia Douglas from Ferbane.

The following night, the ever-popular ABBAesque will return to the marquee stage, a year on from their performance at the inaugural 'Live in the Marquee' weekend last August.

The ABBAesque night will have the added attraction of prizes on the night for the best-dressed attendees, so people are being encouraged to bring their "finest '70s style" to the occasion!

Live in the Marquee has proven hugely popular since its launch last year as part of an effort to revisit the spirit of the legendary Shannonbridge Carnival of the '60s and '70s.

The inaugural weekend in August 2024 featured headliners Mike Denver, Derek Ryan and ABBAesque.

Since then, the marquee has been in use on a number of weekends this year, with performances by acts such as Rebel, Michael English, the 'Live Forever' Oasis tribute band, All Folk'd Up, Louise Morrissey and Ruaile Buaile.

Doors will open at 8pm for the upcoming Nathan Carter and ABBAesque shows, and organisers say there are limited tickets remaining, so people are being encouraged to book now.

Tickets for Nathan Carter on Saturday, August 23, priced €31, including booking fee, and for ABBAesque on Sunday, August 24, priced €22.50, including booking fee, are available from tickets.ie.
