New Bower Hall student accommodation welcomes first residents

The new Bower Hall student accommodation, located in the former Our Lady's Bower Convent on Athlone's Retreat Road, has welcomed its first student residents on Monday, September 1.

Rooms in the former convent became available in July of this year as a new accommodation option for students studying in the Technological University of the Shannon.

The new student accommodation option is being offered by the Hanly Group, a multifaceted Irish company with diverse interests in construction, property, and hotels, particularly known for its luxury castle hotels.

Using all Athlone-based tradesmen, Bower Hall has undergone extensive refurbishment in the past few months with the interior boasting newly constructed bedrooms and mod cons while maintaining the original features.

The accommodation has space for a maximum of 170 residents.
