It will be a historic night for Irish football, with two teams in group stage action in the Conference League.

Shelbourne take on Swedish side Hacken, while Shamrock Rovers travel to face Sparta Prague.

While Shamrock Rovers have reached group stage football for three out of the last four seasons, this marks another incredible chapter in Shelbourne's journey.

After overcoming the odds to win the Airtricity league last season, Joey O'Brien's side battled through qualifying to ensure their European journey continued into the winter.

For Shamrock Rovers, Stephen Bradley's side became the first Irish side not to win the league and qualify for Europe.

In touching distance of regaining their title and in the semi-finals of the FAI Cup, it could be a very special season for Bradley's side.
