Rosemount GAA social initiative hosts gathering in Moate
The Rosemount GAA social initiative hosted a successful get-together at Bo Allen's pub in Moate recently.
Some 25 people gathered at the event, many of whom were former Westmeath footballers in the 1950s and 60s.
The gathering included Martin Flynn, Athlone, Tommy Lowry, Castletown-Geoghegan, TJ Finneran, St Loman's, Pat Bradley, St Mary's, Tom Flanagan, Tang, John Noel Galvin, Castledaly, and a number of other locals such as Con King, Benny Smyth, Johnny and Joe Keane, PJ Mullen and John Brien, Rosemount.
"We had great chats reminiscing about games and days gone by," said Jimmy Keane of the Rosemount GAA social initiative.
