Update on speed ramps in Ballymore and Moyvore

Speed ramps remain planned for both Ballymore and Movyore before the end of the year.

Westmeath County Council has confirmed to Cllr Vinny McCormack that both are scheduled this year.

Cllr McCormack asked at the recent Athlone/Moate Municipal District for a timeframe for the projects.

The council, in a written response, said: "Moyvore ramps are scheduled for installation towards year end but must have regard to, and be aligned with, the emerging proposals being developed by the Transportation section for the village.

"In Ballymore, the ramps, included in the programme will be installed before the end of the year."
