Mount Temple Tidy Towns raises over €2,200 in inaugural bake sale
The newly formed Mount Temple Tidy Towns group reported a successful first fundraiser on Sunday, netting an impressive €2,239.
The bake sale, held in the Mount Temple Community Hall, offered a wide array of home-baked goods, from cakes and buns to sandwiches. The event began at 10am and attendees were welcomed with complimentary tea and coffee.
Mount Temple Tidy Towns member Cathal Slevin praised the community effort, saying: “Thanks must go to Geraldine Kenny and her team who were invaluable in organising and running today.”
He concluded: “We are blessed to have such a vibrant and supportive community here in Mount Temple, and long may it last!”
All proceeds from the event will fund the group's current and upcoming Tidy Towns initiatives.
