Biddy O'Dowd's named Best Digital Innovator at Irish Pub Awards

Athlone pub Biddy O’Dowd’s has been crowned Best Digital Innovator 2025 at this year’s Irish Pub Awards.

The award was presented by Jason Cox, On Trade Commercial Director at Heineken Ireland, sponsors of the category.

Sharing the exciting news online, Biddy O’Dowd’s wrote: “We’re absolutely in shock! Biddy O’Dowd’s has just been named the Best Digital Innovator of the Year in all of Ireland at the Irish Pub Awards! Huge thanks to our incredible team and amazing customers who make it all possible. Sláinte.”

The Irish Pub Awards also congratulated the winners, saying: “Huge congratulations to the digital team for this well-deserved win. A big thank you to Heineken for sponsoring this award.”

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 12, at The Round Room at the Mansion House, with Alan Shortt as MC for the evening.

During the event, Michael O’Donovan, President of the Vintners’ Federation of Ireland, reflected on the vital role pubs play in communities across the country and the spirit of hospitality that defines them. Tom Cleary, Chair of the Licensed Vintners Association, also spoke, commending the dedication, hard work, and achievements of this year’s 70 Regional Winners.
