BREAKING: Emergency services on scene of multi-vehicle crash involving bus in Co Meath
Two people have been killed and a number of others seriously injured in a collision involving a lorry, a bus and a car this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at scene of the fatal three-vehicle road traffic collision on the R132 at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, this morning, Monday 24th November 2025.
The collision, involving a lorry, a bus and a car, occurred at approximately 6.30am.
The male driver of the lorry (aged his 40’s) and the male driver of the bus (aged in his 50’s) were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The female driver of the car (aged in her 40’s) was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The female passenger of the car (aged in her teens) was initially conveyed to our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A number of people have also been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
The R132 is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning, Monday 24th November 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Bus Éireann confirmed its route 101 service was involved in a crash with other vehicles on the R132 in Gormanston this morning.
Bus Eireann on its website stated:
"Please note the following disruption to our services in the South East/Eastern region on Monday, 24th November 2025:
"Route 101/101X in both directions will be diverted to M1
"Due to a major incident at Gormanstown, services 101, 101X on multiple routes are severely affected."

Passengers in Ballbriggan are advised to use alternative public transport.
Meath East Sinn Féin TD, Darren O’Rourke, has expressed his deepest condolences for the victims involved in a fatal crash involving a car, bus and truck in Gormanston, Co. Meath, this morning.
“I understand that this collision is fatal, with two men dead and a several others injured. This is devastating news.
“I want to express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives.
“This shocking news comes just over a week after the devastating crash that took the lives of five young people in Dundalk.
“I want to thank the emergency services at the scene and hope for a speedy recovery for all of those injured.
“I know our local communities will rally around in support of those involved in the collision and their families who no doubt will be in a complete state of shock at this time. We must stand in solidarity with the families during this devastating time.”
Meath East TD Helen McEntee and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence said the unfolding reports of the collision in Gormanstown and "utterly devastating" in the week after the road tragedy that saw five young people lose their loves.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased men and the woman and young girl in the car and all those caught up in this shocking tragedy and I want to thank too all the emergency first responders who attended the scene."
Local Cllr Stephen McKee said: "We are sadly reminded once more about the danger on our roads. My thoughts & prayers are with the families of those who have tragically lost their lives and those who have been injured. It is a traumatic event for those affected. I pay tribute to gardai and our emergency services who responded and who continue to respond to this tragedy. It is a very dark day for the East Meath community."
