Her Excellency Ana Laura Cachaza, the Argentinian Ambassador to Ireland, recently visited 1810 Steakhouse in Athlone to celebrate Argentina’s world-renowned beef and wine.

The exclusive event, organized by the Argentine Embassy, showcased the authentic flavours of Argentine cuisine, with Chef Gus preparing premium cuts of Argentine Angus beef using traditional a la brasa grilling over open fire.

Guests enjoyed a selection of Rib Eye, Striploin, and Fillet, paired with exceptional Argentine wines including Luigi Bosca Malbec 2024 and Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay 2024.

The wines were provided by Irish importers Mackenway Wines, Terry Fulton Pennington, and Barry & Fitzwilliam.

Since 2019, 1810 Steakhouse has been bringing the flavours of Argentina to the Midlands, specializing in Wagyu beef, fresh seafood, homemade pastas, and an expertly curated list of Argentine wines.

As the 2024 Steak Restaurant of the Year, 1810 continues to celebrate Argentina’s culinary traditions while supporting sustainable farming and wine production.
