Cocaine worth €7.2 million seized in Dublin and Wexford

Four people have been arrested after cocaine worth an estimated €7.2 million was seized by gardaí.
The drugs were found after searches at two locations in Gorey, Co Wexford, and Shankill, Co Dublin, on Monday.
Around 104 kilograms of suspected cocaine was found, with an estimated street value of €7,280,000, along with €47,000 in cash and a number of digital devices of “evidential value”.
The seized drugs are to be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
One man aged in his 20s, another in his 30s and two in their 40s were arrested and are being detained at garda stations in Dublin and Wexford under Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Officers from the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, the Garda Dogs Unit and Dublin Metropolitan Region East conducted the searches as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime activity under Operation Tara.
