Man in hospital after shooting in Co Dublin
A man sustained injuries after a shooting in Ballymun in Co Dublin on Sunday.
The incident happened on Coultry Terrace, Ballymun, shortly after 7 pm.
The man, aged in his 20s, sustained injuries during the incident and was transported by ambulance to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
The scene has been preserved for forensic examination, and investigations are ongoing.
A motor vehicle on Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5, was discovered on fire a short time later.
It is believed that these two incidents may be connected.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling in the area of Coultry Terrace, Dublin 9 and Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5, between 6:50 pm and 8:10 pm are asked to make this material available to investigating gardaí.
