Moate St Patrick's Day Parade committee call for local community support

The Moate St Patrick's Day Parade committee is calling on the "wonderful local community" to "get involved" in this year's March 17 event.

In a social media post, the committee confirmed that planning was underway for this year's parade.

'This parade is a whole-town, inclusive celebration, and it simply wouldn’t happen without the support of volunteers, local groups, and businesses.

'Whether you’d like to help on the day, enter a float, sponsor an element of the parade, or lend a hand behind the scenes, every contribution makes a difference.

To heighten the national feast day atmosphere the committee is hoping to hear from marching bands, community groups and sporting organisations who would like to participate in the Moate parade.
