Team 2D to 3D from Our Lady's Bower secondary school in Athlone, who took home the Innovation Project award at the regional LEGO Robotics Tournament in TUS Athlone last week.

Innovation award win for Bower students at LEGO Robotics

STEM students from Our Lady's Bower Secondary School in Athlone are celebrating this week after they won the prestigious Innovation Project award at the LEGO Robotics Regional Tournament last week.

The Athlone school entered two teams in the tournament, which took place on the TUS Athlone campus, with their 2D to 3D team emerging as the overall winners of the Innovation Project award.

The second team to enter the hotly-contested tournament was called Tech Titans and both team from The Bower showcased outstanding projects and fierce determination while competing against 15 other teams.

The Tech Titans team from Our Lady's Bower Secondary School in Athlone who took part in the LEGO Robotics Regional Tournament in TUS Athlone last week.

The school warmly congratulated both Tech Titans and 2D to 3D on their projects and described the Innovation award win for the school as "an incredible achievement." They also extended "a huge thank you "to Mr Seoige MacCraith for his support and guidance to both teams.
