Clann na nGael GAA appoint new senior ladies manager
Clann na nGael GAA has confirmed the appointment of John Molloy as the club's new senior ladies manager for the 2026 season.
The Athlone native replaces the management pairing of Denis Gavin and Joe Fallon who have stepped down from the role following one year at the helm.
Molloy moves across the River Shannon from his previous role as manager of the Athlone intermediate ladies team.
With Athlone, Molloy won a junior championship title in 2023 before his charges were narrowly beaten by Coralstown/Kinnegad in the intermediate championship semi-final in 2024. John has also been heavily involved in coaching boys and girls at underage level with Athlone GAA including the club's youngest age groups.
Molloy will be assisted by former Athlone GAA player Aidan St John and two Female Liaison Officers (FLOs) Aine Lennon and Mary O'Brien.
Clann na nGael were beaten by St Brigid's in the Roscommon LGFA senior championship final last year, having won the 2024 final between the same two clubs.
In a social media post Clann na nGael wished the "entire team and the players the very best of luck as they prepare for an exciting league and championship campaign".
