Our Lady's Bower pays tribute to showjumping student

An Athlone secondary school has paid tribute to one of its students who manages to balance the demands of studying for her Leaving Cert exam with training and competing at showjumping events across the country.

6th year student at Our Lady's Bower Secondary School, Annalisa Cleary, enjoyed fantastic success at the recent Clifden Community School Equestrian Interschools Competition at Ower Equestrian Centre in Galway. She was placed 6th in the Hopoti Novice 80cm individual competition on Ballyquirke Lad, in a very competitive field of over 20 riders.

Our Lady's Bower said in a Facebook post that Annalisa's success was made "even more impressive" considering she is currently busy preparing for her Leaving Certificate exams and "balancing the demands of study with the commitment, time and hard work involved in training and competing."
