Athlone Community College students have been nominated for Ireland's young film maker of the year awards 2026.

Students Liam Donohoe Dunne, Robert Shannon, Darragh Lee, and Cillian McCormack received the nomination for their film "Slasher".

The group are nominated for "Best comedy" and "young filmmaker of the year".
