Roscommon secure Connacht U20 semi-final spot

Roscommon advanced to the semi-final of the Connacht U20 football championship with a hard earned win over Leitrim in King & Moffatt Dr Hyde Park on Wednesday evening.

Three first half goals proved crucial to Roscommon's success with corner forward John Curran netting twice and John McGuinness adding a third green flag before the interval.

Playing against the predominant weather elements in the second half, Roscommon maintained sufficient control of the contest to ensure a place in the provincial semi-final against Galway was secured.

This fixture will take place in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park on Wednesday, April 22, at 6.30pm, a place in the Connacht final against Mayo at stake.
