St Brigid's Community Choir to host springtime concert

St Brigid’s Community Choir is deep in preparations for a Springtime Concert this weekend.

Taking place this Saturday, April 18, at 8pm in St. Brigid’s GAA Club (Eircode: N37 WK60), the concert will also feature the Ballinasloe Town Band and Ballybay National School Choir.

Contributions from the proceeds will be made to the Athlone Sub Aqua Club and Kiltoom and Cam AED Groups.

St Brigid’s Community Choir was formed in 2013 to provide members of the community and surrounding areas with a social outlet and an opportunity to pursue their interest in singing.

It was also in recognition of the well-established psychological benefits of group singing. The choir has now approximately 45 to 50 active members.

Musical Director Andrius Kozlovskis encourages a great sense of enjoyment through his undoubted love of music and his inspiring leadership.

The choir is also hosting an open night on Wednesday, April 22, at 8pm in St Brigid’s GAA Club to welcome any new prospective members who might wish to join.

Tickets at the door, or contact 086 6022990 (Seán). They are priced €15, or €50 for four as a family deal.
