Ballinahown woman takes second place in Home Revival Challenge

Ballinahown's Aileen Egan took second place in the Prestige by Fleetwood Home Revival Challenge.

Now in its third year, the competition invited DIY and upcycling enthusiasts from across the country to give new life to pre-loved pieces of furniture using Prestige by Fleetwood Paints.

This year, the competition opened up to allow entrants to flaunt their skills by submitting a whole room makeover to be in with the chance to win.

With a thoughtful transformation of a bedroom in her mother’s historic home in Ballinahown, Aileen embraced a colour drenching approach to tie together repurposed furniture and her chosen palette.

Inspired by the Roisin Lafferty collection, she created a warm and cohesive room that blends heritage with her own style.

Working within the original features of the 1820s house, she balanced old and new by retaining elements like the shutters and curtains while refreshing the space using Prestige by Fleetwood.

Aileen will receive a Prestige by Fleetwood hamper filled with paint and accessories to fuel her next DIY project.
