SPOTTED: Chart-topping Irish band pays visit to Moate businesses

The band Kingfishr paid a visit to a number of Moate businesses on Friday last.

The popular Irish indie folk group stopped off Gahan Motor Accessories, The Auld Shebeen, and Gillivan's Butchers.

Kingfishr formed in Limerick in 2022, comprising members Eddie Keogh, Eoghan "McGoo" McGrath, and Eoin "Fitz" Fitzgibbon.

The band are well-known for their hit song 'Killeagh', which was released in 2025 achieving number one on the Irish Singles Chart and becoming certified four-times platinum in Ireland, as well as their 2026 release 'The Blade'.

The band are completing a tour across Ireland, the UK, and Europe this summer, including a total of 20 dates.
