Moate trad musician Róisín O’Hara to perform at the Irish World Academy
Moate trad musician Róisín O’Hara is set to perform at the Irish World Academy this week.
The performance will take place at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in the University of Limerick at 4pm on Wednesday, May 13.
Róisín is a traditional Irish accordion player and sean nós dancer from Moate, Co. Westmeath. From a young age, she has been deeply involved in Irish traditional music and dance, developing a strong passion for both performing and teaching.
Alongside her accordion playing, Róisín is an accomplished sean nós dancer who brings rhythm, energy and expression to every performance.
Over the years, she has shared her love of dance through teaching classes and leading dancing workshops, inspiring students of all ages to connect with Irish tradition and culture.
Drawing influence from the rich musical heritage of the Midlands and beyond, Róisín has developed her own distinctive style rooted in tradition while embracing creativity and performance.
Currently in her final year at the Irish World Academy in the University of Limerick, studying the BA in Irish Music and Dance, Róisín looks forward to sharing her final year performance and celebrating the journey that has shaped her as a musician and a dancer
