Uisce Éireann investigating water outage in Moate

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a water supply disruption to homes and business in Moate and surrounding areas this morning.

The water outage, which occured on Monday evening, is also impacting the communities of Moyvougley, Ballymore and Moyvore, with the water utility company hoping to "restore supply to the effected areas as soon as possible".

The disruption to the water supply has resulted in the closure of both St. Oliver Plunkett BNS and St Brigid's Primary School in Moate.

Local Councillor Tom Farrell is hopeful that the water supply will be returned to the homes and businesses of those impacted this morning.
