Deadline extended for Town & Village Micro-MD fund scheme

Up to three projects in each of Athlone, Boyle and Roscommon will soon receive funding as part of Roscommon County Council's Town & Village Micro-MD Fund Scheme – and the council has announced it has extended the closing date for applications.

The council have pushed the closing date out to Tuesday, May 19 (5pm) and the scheme is designed to support 'small, high-impact town and village projects'.

The funding is available under the following headings: dereliction, infrastructure, economic and community development, and tourism.

€25,000 is available in each of the Athlone, Boyle and Roscommon municipal districts. Among the project types eligible for the scheme include town centre public realm improvements, accessibility upgrades, amenity and activation projects, place-making, concept design, and surveys.
