Temporary home for Athlone Tourist Information Centre for summer 2026

The Athlone Tourist Information Centre will have a temporary seasonal home for summer 2026.

Due to redevelopment works at Athlone Castle, the Tourist Information service is moving to the foyer of Athlone Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone.

The service is expected to run from Monday, June 1, to Wednesday, September 30. Opening hours will be from Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5pm.

This new town-centre location will make it easier for visitors already exploring Athlone to access local information, advice and support during their stay.

From October, visitor information will continue through self-service kiosks at: Athlone Civic Centre, Athlone Motorway Plaza, Circle K, Belvedere House, Mullingar, and Kinnegad Motorway Plaza.
