Mount Temple group hosts drama workshop

The Mount Temple Drama Group hosted an acting and producing workshop in Mount Temple Hall on Saturday. The event was open to members of Mount Temple Drama Group, members of the public and other local drama groups.

The tutor on the day was Padraic McIntyre, Actor and Playwright hailing from Bailieborough Co. Cavan, and the adjudicator for the recent RTÉ All-Ireland Drama Festival in the Dean Crowe, Athlone.

Padraic used different stretching and vocal exercises to warm up the attendees during the morning session, finishing with some scenes from Yellow Moon by David Grieg.

After the lunch, the workshop was divided into different groups for some more scene development from different plays, including On Rafferty's Hill by Marina Carr, The Belfry by Billy Roche and Doubt by American playwright, John Patrick Shanley.

Padraic guided everyone with his knowledge, captivating the attendees with his wit and expertise.
