Athlone Agri Show: A fantastic day out for all the family

From humble beginnings on September 13, 1951, the Athlone Agri Show has become a vitally important fixture in the annual calendar of the town.

Over the years the show has developed to being one of the top ten agri-shows in the country, thanks to the generosity of many sponsors, both local and national.

The 2026 Athlone Agri Show will be held on Sunday, June 21, on the farm of Michael O’Donohoe, Garnafailagh, Athlone. Eircode N37 V2 52.

The show organisers said the event would not be possible without loyal sponsors. This year, main sponsors EDF Power Solutions, Athlone Moate Municipal District of Westmeath County Council, Minister for Rural & Community Development & Jim Derwin Equestrian deserve a special word of thanks. The committee also thanked associate sponsors like Kepak Group, K & K Cobs, Aurivo/Homeland, Matrix Bathrooms & Heating, Flancare Warehousing & Logistic Centre Athlone, Michael McManus, West Midllands Credit Union for their continued loyal support. They further expressed their gratitude to all who donated to the show fund or helped in any way.
