Roscommon and Westmeath both facing provincial final repeats

Both Westmeath and Roscommon face a repeat of their respective provincial finals following the draw for the 2026 TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship quarter-finals today.

The counties return to championship action on Sunday, June 28, when Westmeath host Wexford in TEG Cusack Park Mullingar, at 2pm, and Roscommon travel to Leitrim on the same date, with a venue yet to be decided for this fixture.

Westmeath retained their TG4 Ladies Leinster intermediate title with a six-point win over a spirited Wexford side at Cedral St. Conleth’s Park Newbridge in May.

Roscommon, however, suffered a heavy defeat to their quarter-final opponents Leitrim in the Connacht final at Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon, a game which took place on the May bank holiday weekend.

Westmeath advanced to the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate championship quarter-finals courtesy of wins over Monaghan and Louth in the round robin phase of the competition.

Meanwhile, Roscommon achieved their place in the final eight of the competition with a four-point win over Down in their last group phase outing on Sunday afternoon.
