Three charged in Athlone "drug-related intimidation" probe

Gardai have this afternoon (Tuesday) announced the arrests of three people, a woman in her 60s, a man in his 20s, and a male teenager, as part of an investigation in Athlone into alleged drug-related intimidation.

A statement from the Garda press office said the three people were arrested earlier today and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Meath Westmeath Garda Division.

All three have since been charged in connection with the investigation, and they are due to appear before a sitting of Longford District Court this afternoon.
