O'Sullivan appointed St John's Athletic head coach
St John's Athletic has confirmed the appointment of Tony O'Sullivan as men's first team head coach for the 2026/27 Roscommon & District Football League (RDFL) season.
O'Sullivan steps into the vacancy left by Keith Reynolds who departed the Lecarrow club last week following a successful two year league and cup winning tenure at the managerial helm.
O'Sullivan was part of Reynold's management team as St John's Athletic made history in 2025 when winning the RDFL Premier Division title for the first time. The pair also oversaw the club's retention of the league title at the end of the 2025/26 season.
In a social media post announcing the new head coach appointment, St John's Athletic described O'Sullivan as "a proven winner" who has played "an integral part" in the club's recent league and cup success.
"Tony is a familiar face to the John's faithful and brings a massive wealth of experience to the role, boasting a career pedigree that includes managing Willow Park, St Peters, Melville United, Tullamore Town and Monksland United".
"With an incredible tally of 10 senior league titles, 15 senior cup honours, including the prestigious Leinster Junior Cup, already under his belt, everyone at St. John's is hungry to see those stats grow".
"We have total confidence that Tony's unmatched knowledge of the game will keep driving our players and supporters forward to even greater heights," the club said.
